The two C212 aircraft flew to Casey from Hobart via Dumont D'Urville for the 2006-07 season and were used for a comprehensive flight program. As well as routine inter station transfers of personnel and cargo between Casey, Davis and Mawson, the planes flew to:

  • Syowa
  • Enderby Land
  • the Amery Ice Shelf
  • Grove Mountains
  • Southern Prince Charles Mountains (PCMs)

The use of the CASAs was supported with three AS 350 BA 'Squirrel' helicopters, operated by Helicopter Resources Pty Ltd. They supported a number of field science programs on the Amery Ice Shelf and Prince Charles Mountains this last season and operated out of Davis which is the primary centre for AAD air operations.
