Antarctic Quicktime VRs

Welcome to Virtual Antarctica.

Here you can explore different locations within Australia's Antarctica Territory, without leaving home!

You will need the Apple QuickTime plugin to view these panoramas. If you don't already have it, you can get Quicktime for Windows.

IMPORTANT: QuickTime VR Panorama's will not work with Microsoft Windows Media Player. You must install Apple QuickTime Player and the plug-in.

Allow some time for pictures to load.

These "VR" files are larger than most picture files because of their pan and zoom capacity. The initial picture will take a while to load, as each VR is approximately 300 kilobytes. It will also be initially slow to download extra information as you move to left or right.

However, once the full panorama is loaded you can pan quickly through the full 360 degrees.
