Ecological & Resource Modelling Software
The Ecological and Resource Modelling (ERM) and Fish and Fisheries Ecology Groups were established under theAntarctic Marine Living Resources (AMLR) Program to provide information that can be used by Commission for the Conservation Of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), and by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA), to regulate fisheries in Antarctic andsubantarctic waters. These groups provide tools fordeveloping the management procedures for these fisheries, including software to assess the status and yield of commercial species as well as assess the status of ecosystems.

Generalised Yield Model is a flexible tool for combining functions of recruitment, natural mortality, growth, maturity and fishing mortality to analyse and explore population scenarios based on historical and future harvest strategies.
Fish Heaven is a spatially-explicit Monte Carlo simulation model of a fish species, a fishery and a fishery manager. It has been designed to be a flexible and extendible operational model to examine the effects of space on fish and fisheries managers.
CMIX fits a mixture distribution to length-densitydistributions derived from net-survey data, it uses the maximum likelihood estimation to provide estimates of the contribution of individual cohorts to the overall length distribution observed in a sample.
